講義目的・到達目標
In this course, students learn the theory and practice of economic growth so that they can analyze strategies for addressing low growth in advanced countries and fostering poverty reduction in developing countries.

By the end of the course, students will be expected to demonstrate their ability to analyze the aforementioned objective by applying the theories and topics covered in class.

講義内容・授業計画
In this course, students will learn advanced macroeconomics with a focus on economic growth.
After mastering the basic theories and concepts, students will engage in presentations and short report writing to articulate their ideas on addressing low growth in advanced economies and fostering poverty reduction in developing countries.
By the end of the course, students will be expected to think critically about these solutions on their own and be prepared to study more advanced dynamic macroeconomics.

事前・事後学習(予習・復習)の内容・時間の目安
Pre-learning entails reviewing class slides uploaded in advance (1 hour per week) and preparing for the final presentation (10 hours).
Post-learning involves completing review assignments (2 hours per week) and writing the final report (20 hours).
アクティブ・ラーニングの内容
All students have opportunities to make presentations to deepen their understanding, receive feedback for improvement, and engage in communication with classmates.
成績評価の基準・方法
Grades are determined as follows: 40% based on class participation and 60% based on the final presentation and report.
Students who demonstrate understanding of the Solow and Romer models, make a satisfactory presentation, and submit a well-written report can receive an S rank.

Upon evaluating your report, I will provide feedback and return it with my evaluation comments.

Prerequisites: Introductory macroeconomics at the undergraduate level.
