講義目的・到達目標

【講義目的】
Course Objective: This course covers basic theories and policy implications of macroeconomics in a global economy. We will focus on the determination of major macroeconomic variables such as output, interest rates, wages, employment and price levels. During the course, we also address a number of policy issues and limitations in stabilizing the business cycle.
【到達目標】
Student Learning Outcome: By the end of the course, students able to use macroeconomic tools to analyze short-run, medium-run, and long-run macroeconomic phenomena in the real world.

Midterm Exam (40％), Final Exam (60%).
Evaluation and Grading Policy:
(S): Those who actively participate during class, acquire an excellent understanding of undergraduate macroeconomics, and are able to apply basic macroeconomics to analyze real-world economic phenomena.
(A): Those who actively participate during class, acquire a good understanding of undergraduate macroeconomics, and are able to apply basic macroeconomics to think about real-world economic phenomena.
(B) Those who participate during class, acquire a basic knowledge of undergraduate macroeconomics, and are able to apply basic macroeconomics at certain level.
(C) Those who acquire a basic knowledge of undergraduate macroeconomics.

課題・試験結果の開示方法

Answer keys or hints for Problem sets will be provided.

実践的教育

The instructor will use Abenomics to discuss the effects of monetary and fiscal policy and growth enhancing policy in the real world.
