講義目的・到達目標
[Purpose of the seminar]
This seminar will enable students to
・study active learning methods (project-based learning)
・acquire management knowledge through cooperative activities with local organizations and companies, the collaboration partners.

[Intended outcomes]
Students are expected to
・collaborate with other students in a group.
・gather data and analyze the challenges or issues that collaboration partners need to address
・present the results of group work activities
・propose solutions for the challenges or problems to collaboration partners.

講義内容・授業計画
[Course content]
1.Theoretical approaches to management, including marketing and sustainability.
2.Group presentations.
3.Field trips to learn about the business activities on site.
In this class, students will be working on projects to develop new products that contribute to reducing food loss/food waste in accordance with SDGs 2, 11, and 12 in cooperation with collaboration partners.
One or two joint classes with Hyōgo Prefecture International High School will be part of the curriculum.

事前・事後学習(予習・復習)の内容・時間の目安
[Preparation] Students are expected to make preparations for the field trip and work in groups on the mid-term and final presentations (10 hours).
[Review] Students are expected to reflect on the field trip and the feedback they receive from collaboration partners and instructors (10 hours).

Students will have an opportunity to take part in a field trip.





成績評価の基準・方法
[Grading criteria]
Students who demonstrate an understanding of management concepts and fieldwork and who actively take part
in the group activities will be evaluated in accordance with the lecture objectives and targets stated on the syllabus as follows:
S (90 points or more), A (80 points or more), B (70 points or more), C (60 points or more). Students must score at least
60 points to obtain credit for this course.

[Grading method]
Contribution to class (questions, remarks, group activity, attitude) 50%
Mid-term presentation 20%
Final presentation 30%

課題・試験結果の開示方法
Students will received detailed comments about their mid-term and final presentations from the instructors.
履修上の注意・履修要件
1. Students are expected to engage actively in the preparation of the group presentations.
2. Regular attendance is compulsory.  


実践的教育
Students will be provided with opportunities to meet collaboration partners from the business world.
Students will be able to take part in a field trip.
