講義目的・到達目標

【講義目的】
Course Objective: This seminar aims to provide knowledge of analytical tools needed for research in the international and macroeconomy related topics and to provide guidance for preparing and then completing students' own graduation thesis.
【到達目標】
Student Learning Outcome: By the end of the course, students able to use macroeconomic tools to analyze many short-run and long-run macroeconomic phenomena in the real world and to complete their own graduation theses.

講義内容・授業計画

In the first semester: We aim to complete the first draft for graduation theses for each student under the instructor's guidance
and supervision. The instructor will provide necessary lectures about related topics and guidance of how to do research and to write thesis.
In the second semester: To complete graduation theses for each student under the instructor's guidance and supervision and to prepare for thesis defense. The instructor may utilize both individual and group supervision.

成績評価の基準・方法

Class Participation (20%)
Research Proceedings Paper (4 two-column pages), Graduation Thesis (more than 20 pages) and Oral Defense (80%)
Deadline for Proceedings Papers and Graduate Thesis Submission: 15:00pm, December 20, 2023.
Oral Defense is scheduled in mid-January of 2024.
Evaluation and Grading Policy:
(S): Those who actively participate during class, acquire an excellent understanding of macroeconomics and finance, and are able
to relate these knowledge to real-world economic phenomena.
(A): Those who actively participate during class, acquire a very good understanding of macroeconomics and finance, and are
sometimes able to relate these knowledge to real-world economic phenomena.
(B) Those who participate during class, acquire a good understanding of macroeconomics and finance.
(C) Those who acquire a basic knowledge of macroeconomics and finance.

課題・試験結果の開示方法

Comments, feedback, guidance during and after the presentations and discussions.
