The purpose of this lecture is to consider the current economic situation and connections between Asian countries from a historical point of view.

Chinese Economics and Business History

 Read books on Chinese economic and business history, and the Harvard Business History Series works on business history. Ask students to present their work.
 The Harvard Business History Series is the main reading list. This series has been edited by Harvard Business School and published by Harvard University Press since 1931. It has gone through six famous editors. The main focus of study is on the writings of these six editors and other scholarly works they were responsible for publishing, as well as the research works done by European and American scholars on the history of modern Chinese business.

Basic historical knowledge is required. Particularly the content of Global History and Asian Economic History is a requirement.
