講義目的・到達目標
Japan is famous for its traditional culture and its modern pop culture. In this course, we utilize English to explore the many aspects of Japanese pop culture such as manga, anime, music, literature, and fashion. Most importantly, we will combine internal and external viewpoints in our analyses of how Japanese pop culture has influenced global trends and traditional Japanese culture. The coursework involves class discussions, group projects, and presentations which will allow students to involve their interests and knowledge in the topics we discuss. This class suits foreign students who wish to learn more about Japan and Japanese students who want to improve their English skills.
