講義目的:
The purpose of this course is for students to acquire the ability to communicate in German (Introductory Level).

到達目標:
Students will be able to communicate by using introductory level German expressions for daily life, greetings, and self-introduction.

講義内容・授業計画

１．講義内容
In this course, we will learn practical German by watching the drama "Nicos Weg A1," specifically created for German language learners. Through the phrases used in the drama, we will focus on learning everyday conversational expressions and basic grammar concepts.

２．授業計画
Lesson 1: Introduction
Lesson 2: Alphabet and pronunciation
Lesson 3, 4: "Welcome to A1!"
(Greetings, Basic words in German, Saying goodbye, Spelling)
Lesson 5, 6: "1. Meeting people"
(Introducing yourself, Introducing others, Name and background, Finding out about other people)
Lesson 7~9: "2. Contact details"
(Numbers from 1 to 100, Important numbers, Providing personal information, Formal address)
Lesson 10~12: "3. In company"
(Social situations, Offering drinks, Placing an order, Paying the bill)
Lesson 13~15: "4. Around the world"
(Sightseeing attractions, Geographic info, Speaking about countries, Languages)
Lesson 16: Final exam

At the beginning of each weekly class, there will be a vocabulary quiz, so make sure to memorize the specified range of vocabulary. Additionally, there will be five opportunities throughout the semester to submit assignments. Submissions are expected by the day before the next class.

Pre-class Learning: Study of words within the scope of the upcoming quiz (1 hour)
Post-class Learning: Review test online (1.5 hours)

Pair/group practice during the class-hour.

成績評価の基準・方法

1. Regular Assessment (scores from quizzes, presentations, and assignments): 40%
2. Final Exam: 60%
Based on these percentages, a student's overall performance will be evaluated, with a heavier emphasis on the final exam.

課題・試験結果の開示方法

1) Homework: Check in the beginning of the class
2) Final exam: Return to students with scores via Universal Passport
