講義目的・到達目標

【講義目的/Aim of this lecture】

In this lecture, the goal is to cultivate individuals who can comprehensively grasp the regions of Japan undergoing depopulation and an aging population, and propose optimal solutions for community development. The first half of the course will examine the regions from both the hardware perspective, such as land use, infrastructure, and environmental issues in urban and rural areas, and the software perspective, including economic and community aspects. In the second half, leveraging the foundational knowledge acquired in the first half, students will analyze comprehensive and multidimensional perspectives on community development cases. Furthermore, through small reports and presentations conducted during the class, students will develop the ability to articulate their acquired insights in English.

【到達目標/Target of this lecture】

・Analyze domestic community development cases from a multidimensional perspective and explain them in English.
・Explain fundamental knowledge regarding the hardware and software aspects of regions in English.
・Consider domestic and international demographic trends and climate change, and articulate one's own opinions in English regarding future community development.
