Course Objective:
Develop business communication skills to perform effectively in a cross-cultural environment.

Goals:
▪ Be able to use communication skills that are effective in a global business environment based on the Objective/WHO/WHAT/HOW framework.
▪ Be able to communicate to work effectively in or with a multi-cultural organization with diverse stakeholders in business.

講義内容・授業計画
Course Outline:
Students are expected to learn and practice communication skills that are effective in a global business environment. Students will practice business communication based on the objective/WHO/WHAT/HOW framework. The course involves discussions, workshops, presentations, and lectures. Most of the classes will be done based on the assignments submitted weekly.

Class Agenda:
1.   Self-introduction, Class Orientation, Ground Rules
2.   Skills for effective communication in cross cultural environment
3.   Clarifying business objectives and communication objectives
4.   Audience analysis and presentation to target audience How to create key messages
5.   Effective delivery of messages to the audience
6.   Leveraging diversity
7.   Cultural difference in manners and behaviors
8.   Ownership and confidence
9.   Making business proposal
10. Writing recommendation memos
11. Handling meetings
12. Framework of final presentation
13. Effective slides for final presentation
14. Final presentation
