This course introduces students to practical skills for giving presentations. Students will learn:

1. the basics of presentation design
2. how to deliver a presentation
3. crafting your message
4. creating visuals that support your argument,
5. developing your own style of engagement with the audience on important ideas.

In this course, students will discuss the principles of giving an effective presentation and put these principles into action with actual presentation practice. The course ends with a three-week final public symposia series in which you will have the opportunity to present your own research topic.

Presentation and discussion. 

Discussion participation (40%), Self-introduction presentation (10%),
Group presentation (20%), and Final presentation (30%).

Weekly feedback will be given on presentation skills. Additional support is available by appointment. 

This class is a required course for the Global Leader Education Program (GLEP). Non-GLEP students who would like to take this course need to submit the application form in the application period. The number of the students who can take this course is 15 per section, and depending on the number of GLEP students and non-GLEP applicants, the non-GLEP students will be selected according to their proficiency level. Details concerning the application and selection procedures for non-GLEP students will be posted on Universal Passport in July or August.

≪新型コロナウィルス感染症に伴う特例措置に基づく遠隔授業≫
・当授業は、原則全ての授業を対面で実施する予定ですが、履修者人数によっては、新型コロナウィルス感染症対策として、履修者を複数の教室に分けて教室間をオンラインで繋ぐ方法や、対面授業と自宅でのオンライン授業を隔週実施する方法とする場合があり、自宅等でオンライン授業の受講を視聴できる通信環境(PC・タブレット等の端末やWi-Fi環境)が必要となる場合があります。最終的な授業方法は履修登録後に決定・連絡します。
