講義内容・授業計画

Course Outline

Students are expected to learn and practice communication skills that are effective in a global business environment. Students will practice business communication based on the objective/WHO/WHAT/HOW framework. The course involves discussions, workshops, presentations, and lectures. Most of the classes will be done based on the assignments submitted weekly.


Class Agenda:

  1. Class orientation, ground rules, self-introduction.
  2. Skills for effective communication in cross-cultural environment
  3. Clarifying business objectives and communication objectives
  4. Audience analysis and presentation practice for target audience
  5. How to create key messages
  6. Effective delivery of messages to the audience
  7. Leveraging diversity
  8. Difference in manners and behaviors
  9. Ownership and confidence
  10. Making business proposal
  11. Writing recommendation memos
  12. Handling meetings
  13. Framework of final presentation
  14. Effective slides for final presentation
  15. Final presentation

Students are recommended to complete either Project Seminar I or Project Seminar II before taking this course.

Students who missed a class (for any reason) will be given opportunities to make it up by special assignments.
