講義目的・到達目標
This course explores Japanese business practices' unique dynamics and global impact, covering topics like keiretsu, lifetime employment, and the management styles behind successful brands like Toyota and Sony. Weʼll examine Japanʼs challenges in international expansion, its role in global supply chains, and the influence of its pop culture and food industry. By the end, students gain a deep understanding of Japanʼs economic strategies and how its businesses navigate a shifting global landscape.

講義内容・授業計画

Classroom activities will encompass discussions, dialogues, interviews, and team presentations, alongside interactive question-and-answer sessions with both the instructor and peers. Students are encouraged to actively engage their creativity and contribute to the class.

Week 1 and 2: Marketing Mix in Emerging Countries; communicative oral and writing activities
Week 3 and 4: Confectionary Marketing in Overseas Business; communicative oral and writing activities
Week 5 and 6: Countering Innovators' Dilemma; communicative oral and writing activities
Week 7 and 8: Globalization or Localization; communicative oral and writing activities

Homework, class discussions, group work, presentations, and  contribution (70%)
