講義目的・到達目標

From traditions to anime, Japan is famous around the world. In this class we will explore Japan and learn to share its wonder with the world. Students will improve their English communication and presentation skills through group activities and sharing and exploring their culture.

Students will learn to present in various formats in English and think critically about ideas and how to introduce Japan to the world. These skills will also be useful for speaking tests like IELTS and TOEFL.

How would you describe Japan to someone from another country? It is important to be share your culture and country with others. In this course we will explore Japanese society and through group work, projects based learning, and exploration and learn to share it with others in English. The coursework involves class discussions, group projects, and presentations which will allow students to involve their interests and knowledge in the topics we discuss. This class suits foreign students who wish to learn more about Japan and Japanese students who want to improve their English skills.
