【Course Objectives】
This course is designed to help students explore, develop, and implement their career goals. Through a combination of self-assessment, skill development, and strategic planning, students will learn how to navigate the complexities of career choices and create a personalized career plan that aligns with their values, interests, and strengths.

【Learning Outcome】
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Conduct a self-assessment to identify personal strengths, weaknesses, values, and interests.
2. Explore various career options and understand labor market trends.
3. Develop a comprehensive career plan that includes short-term and long-term goals.
4. Obtain effective communication skills through group discussions and presentations.

講義内容・授業計画
Instructor gives lectures, and students work on assignments during class and/or in advance, discuss them in small groups, and then present their findings to the entire class.

Week 1: Introduction to Career Design
Week 2: Reflect your personal history (Conducting a life event analysis and identifying what makes you happy and unhappy)
Week 3: Discover difference between what you think you are and what others think you are
Week 4: Quantitatively measure who you are
Week 5: Conduct PEST and SWOT analysis about you
Week 6: Develop your Purpose, Vision, Values, and Principles
Week 7: Guest speaker session #1
Week 8: Introduction to Personal Branding
Week 9: Develop your personal brand statement
Week 10: Resarch various industries and job roles
Week 11: Develop interview strategy and plans
Week 12: Develop your short term and long term career goals
Week 13: Guest speaker session #2
Week 14: Final presentation #1
- Presentation of individual career plans, and Peer feedback and discussion

Completing assignments and reports (30 hours)
PC is necessary to complete assignments for discussions and presentations.

アクティブ・ラーニングの内容
Students are given assignments before class, and this could include reading articles, watching videos, or conducting interviews. During class, students form small groups to discuss the pre-class assignments and share insights. After the group discussions, each group presents their findings and solutions to the entire class, forstering communication skills and confidence.
成績評価の基準・方法
Assignments and projects: 20% (Evaluate pre-assignments' quality projects' outputs.)
Class contributions and engagement: 40% (Evaluates contributions to group discussions, peer feedback, and collaborative activities. Questions and clarifications during class are strongly encouraged.)
Final presentations: 25% (Assess the quality of presentations on career goals, action plans, and personal branding.)
Reflective journals/essays: 15% (Evaluates students' ability to reflect on their career journey, challenges, and growth.)
