講義目的・到達目標
【Objective of the course】
This course aims at providing students entry-level Korean language knowledge including grammar, pronunciation, and simple communication.
【Goal of achievement】
The goal is to be able to read, write, listen, and speak Korean at entry-level. Students are also expected to become capable of understanding and having simple conversation in various scenes.

講義内容・授業計画
【Course lecture】
This course is in conjunction with Korean 1 course in Spring semester. Having fundamental Korean skills, students will further develop writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills through active conversation in the class.
【Weekly lecture plan】
To reach the goals of this course, each class will be conducted using the designated textbook. Each lesson is organized based on the textbook’s Lesson curriculum that has different central theme. Lessons are half lecture (grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary) and half active practice and/or pair work with classmates. This course is in conjunction with Korean 1 in Spring semester. Therefore, lessons would cover Lesson 14 to 28 in the textbook.

    - Lesson 13: How was Dongdae-mun market?/ 동대문 시장이 어떻습니까?
2. Lesson 14: How much are these apples?/ 사과가 얼마입니까?
3. Lesson 14: Continue
4. Lesson 15: Ordering foods at a restaurant/ 갈비 2인분하고 물냉면 두 그릇 주십시오

1) Homework for the learned Lesson of the week (30 mins~1h)
2) Quiz (Week 5, 9, 13 / 3 quizzes / 15 mins each / Study hour: 1~2hrs)
Areas to study for Word test and Quiz will be informed in advance.

Pair/ group practice during the class-hour.
成績評価の基準・方法
【Grading】
Students will be evaluated and graded based on achievement of entry-level Korean language skills indicated in the objective of this course. Grading is marked by S(90 points~), A(80 points~), B(70 points~), and C(60 points~)
【Method of evaluation】
Comprehensive evaluation based on:
1) Contribution to the class and homework (30%)
3) Quizzes (40%)
4) Term exam (30%)
課題・試験結果の開示方法
1) Homework: Check in the beginning of the class
2) Quiz: Return to students with scores and comments

履修上の注意・履修要件
1) This course is in conjunction with Korean 1 in Spring semester. Students are expected to have taken Korean 1 or to have equivalent Korean skills.
2) NO credit to be given if you absent for five times.
3) Late arrival after 30 minutes from the class starting hour is considered as absent.
3) This course is conducted off-line (face-to-face). Students are encouraged to inform the lecturer in advance via Universal Passport if they are not able to come to the class.
4) Students are required to prepare for the next lesson with having finished homework and reviewed previous lessons.
