[Aim of this class]
1. to deepen understanding of specialized knowledge in international business and management of MNEs
2. to enhance business analysis skills and to acquire academic methodological skills
3. to acquire presentation and discussion skills

1. to be able to read specialized books and academic papers in related fields
2. to be able to form and express their own opinions based on analysis
3. to improve presentation and discussion skills.

講義内容・授業計画

In Research Seminar III, students will learn about both qualitative and quantitative research methods through practices. By the end of the semester, students are expected to identify their own research topic within the domain of international business.

1. Introduction
2. Lectures on qualitative research method and practices (week 2 to week 4)
3. Lectures on quantitative research method and practices (week 5~6)
3. Individual midterm presentations (week 7~8)
4. Lectures on quantitative research method and practices (week 9 to week 12)
5. Group project (week 13~14)
6. Final presentation (week 15)

Reading materials will be assigned during the classes.

事前・事後学習（予習・復習）の内容・時間の目安

Students are required to read the assigned learning materials before classes. Preparation before class should take 1~2 hours per week.
Students must accomplish individual assignment, contribute to group project and submit a final report. Studying time out of class is estimated to be around 30~40 hours.

アクティブ・ラーニングの内容

Students will have opportunities to participate in discussions and group work in almost every class.

成績評価の基準・方法

The academic performance of the students will be assessed based on
1) contribution to the class (i.e., remarks, discussions, groupwork) (20%);
2) individual presentation on the assigned content (25%);
3) final presentation by groups (25%);
4) final report (30%).
