講義目的・到達目標
This thesis seminar focuses on writing academic papers and a thesis. This research seminar will review the performance of Research Seminar III. Then, it will shed light on how to produce a thesis systematically. It will discuss how to synthesize academic literature, identify research questions, draft a hypothesis, and test the hypothesis by adopting necessary statistical and econometric tools. After completing the seminar, students will learn how to write an academic paper and a thesis.

事前・事後学習(予習・復習)の内容・時間の目安
Students must attend every class on time and actively participate in classroom discussions. The seminar is interactive and focused on writing a thesis. So, students must study for 4 hours weekly to produce a good academic paper. Students should spend at least 60 hours outside the classroom to achieve good grades in this course.
