講義目的・到達目標
International law regulates the legal relationships among states. Unlike national law, international law cannot be created or enforced through the same domestic mechanisms. Furthermore, the international community cannot sustain its stability without international law. The absence of binding legal frameworks among states would certainly pose significant challenges in cooperating across various domains, including trade, security alliances, extradition of criminal suspects, climate change, and the management of natural resources. The course covers foundational concepts of international law, where students study its history, sources, and practical application. Students will also explore the protection of individual and group rights under international law, especially the role of the United Nations, dispute resolution, environmental protection, and international economic relations. This course aims to:
1- Teach students the fundamentals and the sources of international law. 2- Develop students' ability to analyze the role of international law in global issues. 3- Enhance students' analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills by studying ever-evolving political and economic challenges that face the international community from an international law point of view. 4- Apply legal principles to contemporary case studies. 5- Evaluate the protection of individual rights under international law. 授業のサブタイトル・キーワード
