This course will help students to understand the principles of basic international economics based on microeconomics and macroeconomics.

This course provides the theory of international economics.

At the end of each lecture, students will have a practice using some data.
This will be helpful for them to get a clear vision of what they have just learned in the lecture. For this practice, each student need to bring his or her own computer to participate in the class.

Supplementary materials are provided in class.

Preparation: Reading assigned materials (1.5h× 15)

Review: Reviewing materials (1.5h× 15)

The exercises shown at the end of each lecture will be discussed at the beginning of the next lecture.

(Evaluation criteria)
Credit hours are provided based on the understanding of the course contents and grades S（90 or higher), A (80-89), B (70-79), C (60-69), and D (59 or lower).

Assignments 60%
Students contribution to the classes 40%

Sample answers for the assignments will be provided in the class.

･Attendance check.
･Have some exercises in classes.
･In this lecture, all the lessons will be delivered by face-to-face in principle.
However, depending on the number of students enrolled, lessons may combine face-to-face and online classes to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection, and a communication environment that allows viewing of online classes at home (PC, tablet, or other device and wifi environment） may be necessary.

Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and International economics are prerequisites.
