様々な社会活動をする際に必要となる英語の総合的運用能力を高め、「読む・聞く・話す・書く」の４技能を、バランスよく使うことができるようになることを目的とする。

• 世界中で広く長く世界中で愛されているアメリカの漫画を理解し楽しみ、アメリカ文化と日本文化の違いを英語で説明したり議論したりする
• 語彙や熟語を増量しながら読解のためのスキルを習得し応用する
• 英文を効果的に音読し、ロールプレイで表現の方法を習得し実演する
• 英文のパラグラフ構造を理解し、精読のためのスキルを習得し適応する
• 口頭であるいは文面で自分の考えを英語で表現する
• 単独、ペア、グループ異なった形態のアクテビティに積極的に参加し、異なる意見から持論を深め広げていく
• 自己評価も含め自己の英語上達に関するのり代を認識しながら英語と向き合い英語を楽しむ
• 将来のために（英語が必須の状況で知識を巧みに活用するために）自分に合った英語学習方法を確立させる

語彙や表現方法の習得、リスニングの理解、英作文のスキルやスピーキング力を向上させるために、テキストの他にも文化背景となる資料等を紹介しながら授業を進めていきます。予習や復習はもちろんのこと、授業では自主性を持ってアクテビティにも取り組み、協働作業をする中で自分の知識や意見を共有してください。また、講義目標・到達目標を念頭において、不得意なスキルを克服しながら得意なスキルをさらに上達させるよう自分に合った学習方法の確立を図り実践してください。

必要に応じてクラスプロファイルに提示、あるいは講義内でプリントを配布します。

予習：テキストの部分において予め単語や熟語を調べたり、プレゼンテーションの準備をしたりする。講義中の指示に従ってください。(15h)
復習：講義内容の理解を深め広め定着させるためにテキストを読み直し、音声を再度聴いてヒアリングを向上させる。

グループワークの機会を多く設けますので積極的に発言し異なる意見を学びに役立ててください。

グローバル社会に対応できる語学力と異文化理解に資し、コミュニケーション力を有している日常的な社会活動において必要となる英語文や英会話を習得し、自分の考えを英語で記述・口頭表現することができるものに単位を授与する。

講義目的・到達目標に記載する能力の到達度に応じて、ＳらＣまで成績を与える。
レポート・小テストなどによる平常点４０％、試験６０％を基準として、受講態度を含めて総合的に評価する。

Oral presentation 10%
Quiz 20%
Final exam 40%

Class Activity: Attendance is a prerequisite. Class activities include group discussion, pair work, and written class reflections. Plus, if you are not on task when you are assigned activities, your participation point will be reduced.
Oral Presentation: Demonstrate your criativity and oral ability in English. The details will be announced.
Quiz: Prepare for each quiz; your answers will not get any partial point. Pay attention to each class as well as mastering new vocabularies/phrases.
Final Exam: To be announced

履修生の授業態度やパフォーマンス、小テストや課題に関しては、講義中や講義前後に対面でコメントをしたり書面あるいはクラスプロファイルを活用し開示します。

少人数指導の為、40名程度を目安とする。
希望者多数の場合はランダム抽選を行う。

第一日目の一時間目より教科書が必須ですので必ず持参してください。進捗状況により講義内容が多少変更する場合があります。
