担当教員による指導の下、学術論文を公表し最終的な学位論文を作成できることを最終目標とし、論文調査・各種調査を通じて研究開発に必要な知識・能力を習得することを目的とする。

担当教員と相談し、研究指導計画書を作成する。本計画書には研究題目（仮）および研究の概要（背景、内容、手法など）を記載する。本計画書に従って研究を行い、前期末に研究経過報告を行う。フィードバックを受けた上で、それも反映した研究経過報告書を研究科に提出する。

生成ＡＩの利用にあたっては『本学の教育における生成ＡＩの取扱いについて（学生向け）』の記載内容について留意すること。生成ＡＩの利用については担当教員の指示に従うこと。教員が認める範囲を超えて生成ＡＩを利用したことが判明した場合は、単位を認定しない、又は認定を取り消すことがある。生成ＡＩの出力した内容について、事実関係の確認や出典・参考文献を確認・追記することが重要である。また、生成ＡＩによる出力結果をそのまま課題・レポートとして提出してはならない。

文献調査、研究テーマ詳細化、調査・実験計画、システム開発、調査・実験の実施、実験結果の分析、論文執筆、研究ミーティング準備などを行う。

時間の目安
上記のうち研究ミーティング準備（発表資料作成や議事録作成）は60h程度、その他はテーマや進捗でそれぞれ異なる。
