Course Objective:

Develop business communication skills to perform effectively in a cross-cultural environment.


Goals:

  • Be able to describe the concept of business communication in terms of the Objective/WHO/WHAT/HOW framework.
  • Be able to use the framework for fundamental business communication.

Course Overview and Schedule

Course Outline

Students are expected to acquire basic understanding of the objective/WHO/WHAT/HOW framework for effective business communication. The course involves discussions, workshops, presentations, and lectures. Most of the classes will be done based on the assignments submitted weekly.

  4. Audience analysis and presentation practice for target audience
  5. How to create key messages

  • Students are recommended to complete either Project Seminar I or Project Seminar II before taking this course.

  • Students who missed a class (for any reason) will be required to submit make-up assignment. 

  • No credits will be given to those who missed one thirds of classes or more regardless of make-up assignments.
