Contents and Estimated Time for Pre- and Post- Learning (Preparation and Review)
[Preparation] Students are expected to submit the written assignments (20 hours) and prepare a presentation (5 hours).
[Review] Students are expected to reflect upon the lectures through group discussions (5 hours).
Contents of Active Learning
The students will get to know the facilities of the University of Hyogo including the library and the Center for Global Exchange.

Grading Criteria and Methods

Students who demonstrate an understanding of the basic skills of academic writing and complete the assignments in accordance with the objectives stated on the syllabus will be graded as follows: S (90 points or more), A (80 points or more), B (70 points or more), C (60 points or more). Students who score at least 60 points will receive credit for this course.



How to Disclose Assignments and Exam Results
The instructors will return the written assignments with detailed comments.

Precautions and Requirements for Course Registration
Students are required to attend the Basic Seminar on a regular basis and complete the assignments.
Practical Education
Students will have an opportunity to get to know the facilities on campus and listen to guest lectures.
