環境と人間の暮らしに関わる課題やそれに対する取り組みの状況について、各系・課程の専門テーマに関係するフィールド（地域、施設等）における調査等の実体験を通じて学ぶことを目的とする。
【到達目標】
到達目標は、フィールドの課題やそれに対する取り組みについて理解することで、各系・課程において必要となる調査や分析方法などの基礎的手法を習得する（グループワークを含む）ことである。

【成績評価の基準】
フィールドの課題・取り組み状況を理解し、必要となる調査や分析方法などの基礎的手法を習得した者に単位を授与する。講義目的・到達目標で掲示する能力（知識、技能、思考力、判断力、表現力等）の到達度に基づき、S（90点以上）、A（80点以上）、B（70点以上）、C（60点以上）による成績評価のうえ、単位を付与する。
【成績評価の方法】各系・課程によるが、発表・ディスカッションの内容、レポート・小テストなどの課題、グループワーク、積極的な質問等を含めて総合的に評価する。
