【講義目的】
 文化人類学の概論的知識を身につけると同時に、文化人類学が提示する人間やその社会、そして世界を理解する姿勢を学びとり、他者や他の文化への洞察力を養うことを目的とする。 授業内容から自らの見解を組み立て、自分と他者との共通点や相違点に留意しつつ、文化や社会の構成について客観的に論ずることができることを目標とする。

1. 現代社会における「文化」という概念の意味を理解し説明できる 
2. 「文化」を通して自己を知り、他者を理解することができる 
3. 身の回りの文化や社会に関する事柄について、客観的に思考する姿勢を身につける

Course Overview and Schedule

【講義内容】
文化人類学は世界の様々な文化を検証することを通して人間を知る学問である。従って、その幅広い内容を網羅する概論は不可能である。本講義では、必要な概論的知識を提示しながら、文化人類学が目的とする異文化･自文化理解の意味や作法を考察する。それらを通して、「当たり前の常識」の危うさを感じとり、多様な人々が暮らす世界を理解する姿勢を学びとってもらいたい。そして、他者への洞察力や柔軟な理解力、豊かな想像力を基盤とした幅広い知性と豊かな人間性を醸成することを目指したい。また、本講義は、「文化」という概念が人間やその社会に及ぼす現代的な意味の考察による、転換期を迎えた日本社会において頻繁に用いられている「多文化共生」概念の批判的検討という意味を含んでいる。
