The Thesis Seminar II is a continuation of the Thesis Seminar I and the Research Seminars I, II, and III.

Academic Writing Course Overview and Schedule
I. Course Content
This Seminar I is a continuation of the Thesis Seminar I and the Research Seminars I, II, and III. The goal of this course is to conduct independent research on the graduation thesis topics and present research findings under the guidance of the course instructor. Students are expected to continue their research on their chosen topics and write a graduation thesis. Students will have an opportunity to review the graduation theses written by seniors. II. In this course, the use of generative AI is strictly prohibited. Any use during class is forbidden, and if a violation is discovered, credits may not be granted or may be revoked.
Regardless of whether generative AI is used or not, students must pay attention to the contents described in “Guidelines on the Use of Generative AI in Education at the University of Hyogo (For Students)” Textbook

Contents and Estimated Time for Pre- and Post- Learning (Preparation and Review)
[Preparation] Students are expected to complete the readings related to the class (15 hours) and prepare a presentation (5 hours).
[Review] Students are expected to review the readings covered in class to deepen their understanding of the class content (20 hours). Contents of Active Learning
Students will have an opportunity to present their research in class.
Grading Criteria and Methods
[Grading Criteria]
Students will continue their graduation thesis research and achieve the abilities (knowledge, skills, reasoning, judgment, expression, etc.) listed in the course objectives and learning goals. Based on course objectives and learning goals, students will be graded on a scale of S (90 points or above), A (80 points or above), B (70 points or above), or C (60 points or above), and credits will be awarded. At least 60 points are required to receive credit for this course. [Grading Method] Students will be graded as follows: 40% thesis manuscript, 40% presentation of research progress, 20% active contribution to class activities . Class contribution including questions and participation in class discussion will also be evaluated. How to Disclose Assignments and Exam Results
1. The course constructor will provide comments on research progress and the graduation thesis.
2. In the final class, the course instructor will conduct a feedback session. Precautions and Requirements for Course Registration
1. Students are required to present their research progress in class and draft a written graduation thesis.
2. Students are required to attend the Thesis Seminar II on a weekly basis. Practical Education
