Course Objectives and Learning Outcome
Course Description
  In this course, students will learn not only the main existing theories but also the latest literatures on key topics in International Business, to grasp the overall picture and recent research trends in this field, and to understand the activities of MNEs from a bird's-eye view.

Learning Outcomes
  Through the learning, the students should be able to:
1. understand key theories in the field of International Business; 
2. know recent research trends and achievements on a particular topic based on their own interests; 
3. achieve a deeper understanding of the activities of MNEs from a bird's-eye view.

Course Contents
In the first half of this course, students will take turns reading important existing literature and learn the main theories in International Business. And then in the latter half, students are required to work in groups, read and have discussions on specific topics that they are interested in, to learn about the latest research trends. At last, students will give presentations about their findings on the academic development in that particular topic.

1. Read the distributed reading materials and write a summary before classes (e.g., about 1~1.5 hours per paper, about 10~15 hours in total).

Precautions and Requirements for Course Registration
This course will be conducted in English. Students are required to read academic papers or book chapters in English and are also expected to be able to discuss and give presentations about the readings in English. Due to a considerable amount of English readings, English proficiency higher than C1/Grade Pre-1 (or TOEIC score 800/TOEFL iBT 80/IELTS 6.0) is preferable.
