【Lecture Objectives】
First, to provide knowledge of management organization theory.
Second, to enable students to learn methods for recognizing the need for organizational change in response to environmental change.
Third, to provide a methodology for putting together a plan for implementing a vision of how an organization should be changed.

【Lecture Content】
This class will follow the basic organizational theory fundamental issue of responding to environmental change. In the class, students will learn knowledge of organizational theory independently and mutually, as well as proactively learn what actions of organizational members are necessary for the organization to recognize and change environmental changes. In addition to knowledge provision, field research, group discussions, and presentations, students will be expected to take responsibility for peer evaluation.

Contents of Active Learning
Each time, the project team (small group) will hold discussions and the project company (medium group) will hold knowledge-sharing workshops.

In addition, participants will be asked to decide on a research subject, introduce the company that will be the subject of the research, make a presentation at the knowledge-sharing workshop, conduct interviews with customers of the company that will be the subject of the research and report on the results, analyze the company that will be the subject of the research, and present a plan for change.

Grading Criteria and Methods
【Grading Criteria】
Those who understand the theory of management organizations and organizational change and are able to create plans for organizational change will be graded on a scale of S (90 points or more), A (80 points or more), B (70 points or more), and C (60 points or more) based on the extent to which they have achieved the abilities (knowledge, skills, thinking, judgment, expression, etc.) listed in the course objectives and learning outcomes, and will be awarded credits.

【Grading Method】
・Presentation and Q&A at the knowledge sharing workshop: 15%
・Presentation on the target organization: 10%
・Report on the results of the customer visit: 10%
・Presentation on the target organization at the case clinic: 10%
・Presentation materials, presentation and Q&A on the target organization's reform plan: 35%
・Contribution to group activities in class: 20%
(Grades will be based on the results of peer evaluation as well as the teacher's evaluation)


How to Disclose Assignments and Exam Results
Grades for presentations will be disclosed in the next class session.
Contributions to the class group activities will be disclosed in the next meeting class in the form of including peer evaluation.

Precautions and Requirements for Course Registration
The program includes having students conduct field research on an individual basis. The student has to determine the organization to be studied and conduct a survey of that organization, as well as its customers.
Practical Education
The program falls under the category of practical education, since the participants actually conduct a survey of the organization to be studied and aim to create a transformation plan.
Remarks
In cases where any differences arise between the English version and the original Japanese version, the Japanese version shall prevail as the official authoritative version.
