Course Objectives and Learning Outcome
Course Objectives:
The objectives of this course are as follows: - Enhance proficiency in German language skills, particularly in speaking and listening. - Deepen understanding of the culture and society in German-speaking regions, fostering cross-cultural competence. Achievement Goals: In the spring semester, the goal is to be able to communicate in German about personal topics and daily life. Topic:
Lesson 1: Introduction Lesson 2: Alphabet and pronunciation Lesson 3, 4: "Welcome to A1!" (Greetings, Basic words in German, Saying goodbye, Spelling) Lesson 5, 6: "1. Meeting people" (Introducing yourself, Introducing others, Name and background, Finding out about other people) Lesson 7~9: "2. Contact details" (Numbers from 1 to 100, Important numbers, Providing personal information, Formal address) Lesson 10~12: "3. In company" (Social situations, Offering drinks, Placing an order, Paying the bill) Lesson 13~15: "4. Around the world" (Sightseeing attractions, Geographic info, Speaking about countries, Languages) Lesson 16: Final exam At the beginning of each weekly class, there will be a vocabulary quiz, so make sure to memorize the specified range of vocabulary.
