Academic Goals of Teacher Training Course

Course Objectives and Learning Outcome
The purpose of this course is to develop the ability to write in clear, detailed texts on a variety of topics. After completing this course, students are expected to understand ・how to write sentences as accurately as possible with few grammatical errors, ・how to write in detail about familiar topics that interest them, ・how to write articles in different genres using different writing styles.

Contents and Estimated Time for Pre- and Post- Learning (Preparation and Review)
Students are expected to use at least 60 minutes in preparation for each class (reviewing the content of the previous class)
Contents of Active Learning
Students will have opportunities to actively discuss in Japanese through pair work and group work in class.
Grading Criteria and Methods
S (90%~) excellent (thorough mastery of course material & concepts)
A (80%~) good (proficient grasp of most course material & concepts)
B (70%~) fair (general understanding of principal course material & concepts)
C (60%~) poor but passing (superficial familiarity with some course material)
In order to obtain the credits for this course, at least a C (60%) is necessary.
