Uses of Generative AI
Limited permission for use
Precautions for using Generative AI
When using generative AI, students must adhere to the guidelines outlined in the document “Handling Generative AI in University Education (For Students).”
This course prioritizes “understanding assumptions and interpreting results” over merely “performing calculations.” Therefore, while the use of generative AI itself is not prohibited, its use must be strictly limited to supporting learning. Specifically, its use is permitted for assisting in understanding mathematical models or concepts, or for aiding in reading academic literature. However, directly having generative AI create answers, calculation processes, or analyses for assignments or reports, and submitting them as is, will be considered academic misconduct. This may result in the non-award of credits or the revocation of credits already awarded. If generative AI is used, clearly state its usage. The final explanations and conclusions must always be based on your own understanding.
