Uses of Generative AI

Precautions for using Generative AI
In this course, the use of generative AI is strictly prohibited. Any use during class is forbidden, and if a violation is discovered, credits may not be granted or may be revoked.
Regardless of whether generative AI is used or not, students must pay attention to the contents described in “Guidelines on the Use of Generative AI in Education at the University of Hyogo (For Students)”

Contents and Estimated Time for Pre- and Post- Learning (Preparation and Review)
[Preparation] Students are expected to conduct research on their Bachelor's thesis independently (15 hours) and present research results in class (5 hours).
[Review] Students are expected to draft a literature search about their selected research topics (20 hours).
Contents of Active Learning
Students will give a presentation about their research and comment on their fellow students' presentations.
Grading Criteria and Methods
[Grading Criteria]
Students who pursue research on their Bachelor thesis, complete a search of research literature, and present their research results in class will be graded according to the objectives stated on the syllabus as follows: S (90 points or more), A (80 points or more), B (70 points or more), C (60 points or more). Students must score at least 60 points to obtain credit for this course.
[Grading Method]
Two presentations of research results 40%, submission of a literature review 30%, active contribution to class activities 30%.
How to Disclose Assignments and Exam Results
The instructor will provide detailed comments on student presentations and the literature review.
Precautions and Requirements for Course Registration
Students are required to compose a literature review for their Bachelor's thesis and present their research results in class.
Regular course attendance is required. Unexcused absence of more than three times will result in failure of this course.
