Course Objectives and Learning Outcome
【講義目的】
Students will aim to examine social and cultural issues through comparative studies across different cultures and countries. We will especially compare Japan and Western countries.

【到達目標】
Upon completing the course, students will
a) Deepen their understanding of social and cultural issues by comparing Japan with international contexts
b) Acquire the ability to consider social, cultural, and moral issues from multiple perspectives
c) Develop critical thinking skills and apply them to cross cultural contexts

【講義内容】
This course is based on active learning, which allows students to develop a deeper understanding of cross-cultural studies. Following a lecture on one of the topics listed below, students are expected to participate in a short discussion.
