講義の目的は美術と技術に着目し、建築の歴史を把握することにある。主題は古代から近代までの建築で、空間・意匠・構造・材料の特徴と、建築家の造形意図、建築技術の創意工夫を講述する。前半の内容は西洋建築史で、後半が近代建築史である。

Grading Criteria and Methods

成績評価の基準
　西洋建築史と近代建築史を理解し、自らの解釈を表現できる者に単位を授与する。
　講義目的・到達目標に記載する能力（知識・技能、思考力、判断力、表現力等）の到達度に基づき、S（90点以上）,Ａ（80点以上）,B（70点以上）,C（60点以上）による成績評価のうえ、単位を付与する。
成績評価の方法
　レポート20％、到達度の確認80％を基準として、受講態度（発表や意見、質問等を行うこと）を含めて総合的に評価する。

How to Disclose Assignments and Exam Results

課題・試験結果のフィードバック方法
　第15回「まとめと評価」において全体的な講評を行い、到達度を確認する。

Precautions and Requirements for Course Registration

履修に際しては、「建築史Ⅰ」の単位修得済みを要件とする。
