【Course Objectives】
In this course, through case analyses and related materials, students will develop a foundational understanding of the basicl theories and core mechanisms that shape individual behavior in organizations. 【Learning Outcome】 To be able to explain,using established theoretical frameworks, the key determinants and mechanisms of individual behaviors in organizations. The course starts with the definition of organizations, how they function effectively, and individuals roles within them. Building on this foundation, we learn key factors that influence individual behavior in organizational settings. Concepts and theories are presented across micro, interface, and macro levels and are explained using case examples.

Use of Generative AI
Students must comply with the university’s policy regarding the use of generative AI in educational settings. In this course, the use of generative AI tools is permitted only within the scope described below and must follow the instructions of the instructor. If sutudents use generative AI beyond the approved scope, the course credit may be recognized or canclled. Students are responsible for verifying factual accuracy, sources, and references for any content generated by AI tools. Sutudents are prohibited from submitting AI-generated content without verification or from submitting AI output as a final assignment or report without substantive revision. Students will be assigned to groups of approximately five members. In several classes, students will have short group discussions, and share key insights with the full class.
成績評価の基準・方法
Grading and Assessment:
Students who demonstrate the ability to understand key concepts and theories explaining the determinants of individual behavior in organizations—and apply them to real organizational phenomena—will be evaluated according to the achievement of the course learning outcomes (knowledge, analytical skills, and critical thinking). Course credit will be determinded based on the grading scale shown below. Letter Grades:S (90–100), A (80–89), B (70–79), C (60–69) Grading methods: Student performance will be evaluated comprehensively using the following components: Quizzes: 50%, Final Report: 40%, Group Discussion Presentations: 10% 課題・試験結果の開示方法
Feedback on group discussions will be provided during class.
Quizzes will, in principle, be reviewed in the following session. Feedback on the final report will be returned through the university’s “Universal Passport” class profile system. 履修上の注意・履修要件
Course materials will be distributed via the Universal Passport system. Students are expected to ensure that all assigned materials are accessible prior to the start of each class (either printed or displayed on any device).
No formal prerequisites for this course; however, basic knowledge of management is recommended. 実践的教育
Instructor Background:The instructor has professional experience in the human resources division of a major electronics manufacturer and has served as an organizational and HR consultant for about 100 companies and organizations. The instructor also holds national certifications as a Certified Social Insurance and Labor Consultant and as a Career Consultant. Based on these experiences, the course provides practice-oriented insights into corporate management and organizational operations.
