講義目的・到達目標
【Course Objectives】
The main objectives of this course are to (1) acquire the skills necessary for good presentations, and (2) gain confidence to speak in front of others.

【Learning Outcomes】
By the end of this course, students will be able to (1) plan, organize, write, and give presentations on a variety of topics, (2) make effective presentation slides using images, tables, and graphs, and (3) use gestures and speaking emphasis for engaging presentations.

【Course Aim】
Students will learn the principles of giving an effective presentation and put these principles into action when giving individual and group presentations. Students will practice eye contact, voice control, facial and hand gestures, speaking with emphasis, and making slides. The course will end with a two-week final public symposia where students will have the opportunity to present on a topic of their choice and demonstrate the skills they have learned.

Limited permission for use of AI
When using generative AI, please pay attention to the contents described in “Guidelines on the Use of Generative AI in Education at the University of Hyogo (For Students).” In this course, the use of generative AI is permitted only within the following scope, and use beyond this scope is prohibited.
Students must follow the instructions of the instructor regarding the use of generative AI. If it is found that generative AI has been used beyond the scope approved by the instructor, credits may not be granted or may be revoked. It is important to verify factual accuracy and check/add sources and references for any content generated by AI. Submitting AI-generated output directly as assignments or reports is strictly prohibited.

履修上の注意・履修要件
This class is a required course for the Global Leader Education Program (GLEP). Non-GLEP students who would like to take this course need to submit an application for during the application period. The maximum number of students who can take this course is 15 per section. Depending on the number of GLEP students and non-GLEP applicants, the non-GLEP students will be selected according to their proficiency level. Details concerning the application selection procedures for non-GLEP students will be posted on Universal Passport in July or August.
