講義目的・到達目標
This course focuses on developing students' ability to express ideas logically and clearly through introductory research-based presentations.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Select an appropriate topic for a simple research presentation,
- Find and use information from reliable sources,
- Create clear visuals to present your ideas,
- Organize and summarize information clearly for presentation purposes,
- Deliver individual, group and poster presentations with logical structure and clarity,
- Manage a Q & A session after the presentation.

講義内容・授業計画
In this course, students will learn basic and introductory research skills such as choosing a topic, summarizing key points, citing sources, and explaining ideas clearly. Students will have individual and group presentation practices. At the end of the course, there will be a final public symposia in which students will have the opportunity to present your research topic in the format of poster presentation.

Limited permission for use of AI
When using generative AI, please pay attention to the contents described in “Guidelines on the Use of Generative AI in Education at the University of Hyogo (For Students).” In this course, the use of generative AI is permitted only within the following scope, and use beyond this scope is prohibited.  
Students must follow the instructions of the instructor regarding the use of generative AI. If it is found that generative AI has been used beyond the scope approved by the instructor, credits may not be granted or may be revoked. It is important to verify factual accuracy and check/add sources and references for any content generated by AI. Submitting AI-generated output directly as assignments or reports is strictly prohibited.

Discussion participation (40%), Individual presentation (10%),
Group presentation (20%), and Final Poster Presentation (30%).

Feedback will be given on presentation skills. Additional support is available by appointment.
履修上の注意・履修要件
This class is a required course for the Global Leader Education Program (GLEP). Non-GLEP students who would like to take this course need to submit the application form in the application period. The number of the students who can take this course is 15 per section, and depending on the number of GLEP students and non-GLEP applicants, the non-GLEP students will be selected according to their proficiency level. Details concerning the application and selection procedures for non-GLEP students will be posted on Universal Passport in July or August.
