講義目的・到達目標

This course is designed to help students prepare for JLPT Level N1. Its main objective is to help students feel confident and well-prepared when taking JLPT N1. In this class, students will familiarize themselves with various types of tasks concerning reading, listening, grammar, and vocabulary placing special emphasis on strategies to deal with the JLPT N1. This course provides students with an opportunity to take JLPT trial test of all four sections during the class hours.

事前・事後学習（予習・復習）の内容・時間の目安

Students are expected to use at least 60 minutes in preparation for each class (reviewing the content of the previous class).

アクティブ・ラーニングの内容

In this class students will have activities to explain the grammar they have learned.

成績評価の基準・方法

Grading criteria:
S (90%~) excellent (thorough mastery of course material & concepts)
A (80%~) good (proficient grasp of most course material & concepts)
B (70%~) fair (general understanding of principal course material & concepts) C (60%~) poor but passing (superficial familiarity with some course
material)
In order to obtain the credits for this course, at least a C (60%) is necessary.

Evaluation methods:

Class performance 20%, quizzes 30%, Midterm & final exam 50%

Students will receive continuous feedback in class, and directly after the midterm.

Students are expected to actively participate in class, and to prepare (by reviewing or studying the materials indicated by the instructor) before each class.
